Southern California 컨츄리 록밴드, Poco의 히트곡 'Crazy Love' 입니다.
1978년 발표한 13번째 앨범 [Legend]에 수록된 곡으로,
앨범은 빌보드 팝 앨범챠트 14위, 컨츄리 챠트 15위에 랭크되었습니다.
밴드의 첫 Top 40 진입곡 'Crazy Love'가 팝 싱글챠트 17위,
AC 챠트 1위에 올랐죠...
흔히들 Poco하면 1982년 발표했던 Don Gibson의 커버곡
'Sea of Heartbreak'를 떠올리실 겁니다.(AC 챠트 35위)
국내에서의 이 곡의 인기는 대단하였었고 지금도 사랑 받는 곡이죠...
그러나 밴드의 최고의 히트곡은 'Crazy Love',
'Heart of the Night' 2곡 입니다.
ABC Records에서 기획하고 있던 밴드의 13번째 앨범
[The Last Roundup]이 사정상 발매가 취소된 후,
밴드의 핵심이던 Rusty Young('Crazy Love'의 작곡자)과
Paul Cotton('Heart of the Night' 작곡)이
The Cotton-Young Band라는
새로운 밴드의 결성을 준비하면서
앨범을 준비하게 되는데, ABC 측에서
기존의 밴드명 Poco의 타이틀로
이 앨범을 그대로 발매하게 되었고,
'Crazy Love'와 'Heart of the Night'
2곡이 히트를 하였죠...
