1962년에 발표한 싱글 'Sheila'를
같은 해 9월 1일자 '빌보드 싱글 차트'에서
1위에 올려 놓으며 아이돌 스타로 급부상한 가수 Tommy Roe는
1969년에 싱글'Dizzy'를 발표하면서 다시 한번 관심을 집중시키지요.
영미 양국의 싱글 차트를 석권한 'Dizzy'는
캐나다의 싱글 차트에서도 1위를 차지했으며 호주의 싱글 차트에서는 2위에
그리고 독일과 노르웨이의 싱글 차트에서는 4위에 오르며
세계적인 히트 곡이 되었습니다.
물론 멜로디도 귀에 쏙 들어오고 좋지만
중간에 나오는 드럼 솔로가 아주 리드미컬하고 특이했지요.
아주 밝고 경쾌한 이지 리스닝이 그의 장기입니다.
