Rose는 락의 르네상스 시대인 70년대 중반에 출현해서
4장의 앨범을 발매하고 해체된 비운의 그룹입니다
그러나 A Taste Of Neptune 은
국내에서는 현재까지도 팝 매니어들의 가슴에
위안과 감동을 안겨주는 명곡으로 남아있지요
인트로 부분에서 해변가의 파도 소리를
이펙트음으로 처리하면서
Ron Glatley의 성스런 듯한 키보드음과
Brian Allen의 어쿠스틱 선율은
동양적인 감각으로 와닿지요.
7분 20초의 대곡으로 환상적인 키보드 음률과
어쿠스틱 기타의 조화는
보컬과 더불어
거의 완벽에 가까운 감동까지 느끼게 합니다.
참고로 Neptune은 로마신화에 나오는 바다의 신으로
그리스 신화의 Poseidon과 같은 신입니다
