Doo, doo, doo, Looking out my back door. ----------------------------------------- 1967년, 존 포거티를 중심으로 캘리포니아에서 4인조로 결성된 C.C.R은 1960년대 후반에서 1970년대 초반을 장악했던 컨트리 락 슈퍼 밴드입니다 이들의 음악은 우리나라에서는 리바이스, 써지오 바렌테 같은 청바지 광고와 영화나 드라마, 심지어는 코미디 프로에도 자주 등장해서 우리 귀에는 아주 친숙하지요. 락을 바탕으로 컨트리와 블루스를 가미해서 그들 특유의 복고적인 사운드로 당시 팝계에 큰 바람을 몰고 왔던 C,C,R은 전 앨범의 수록곡들이 모두 빅히트 곡이었고 히피들에게, 또한 베트남 참전용사들에게 많이 애창되었지죠. '머나먼 정글'이라는 드라마에서는 헬기가 뜰 때 CCR의 음악이 유난히 배경음악으로 많이 깔립니다. 잘알려진 CCR의 노래 "Who'll stop the rain"은 반전데모에도 많이 쓰이던 노래였고 그 노래가 뜻하는 것도 누가 전쟁을 멈추게 할것인가 라는 뜻이었다네요. 그러나 귀에 익은 많은 명곡을 쏟아내던 이들은 그들의 상징이자 그들의 모든 것이라 해도 과언이 아닌 존 포거티의 탈퇴로 안타깜게도 1972년에 해체가 되지요.
