영국의 블루스 하드 록 밴드 Bad Company 는 Led Zeppelin이 설립한
Swan Song 레이블을 통해 1974년에 데뷔했습니다
배드 컴패니는 역시 영국의 유명한 블루스 록 밴드인 Free 출신으로
백인중에서는 가장 블루스를 잘 소화해내는
보컬중의 한 명인 Paul Rodgers와
Mott the Hoople 출신의 기타리스트 Mick Ralphs 를
중심으로 결성되었지요
배드 컴패니는 크림(Cream)의 영향으로
개개인의 기량을 극대화하다 못해 작위적으로까지 흐르던
동시대의 블루스 록 밴드들과는 달리,
보다 원초적이고 근본적인 단순하면서도
세련된 블루스 록으로 사랑 받았습니다
