Fragile (Sting) / Simone Kopmajer If blood will flow when flesh and steel are one Drying in the color of the evening sun Tomorrow's rain will wash the stains away But something in our minds will always stay Perhaps this final act was meant To clinch a lifetime's argument That nothing comes from violence and nothing ever could For all those born beneath an angry star Lest we forget how fragile we are on and on the rain will fall Like tears from a star like tears from a star on and on the rain will say How fragile we are how fragile we are on and on the rain will fall Like tears from a star like tears from a star on and on the rain will say How fragile we are how fragile we are How fragile we are how fragile we are ------------------------------ Simone Kopmajer 는 1981년 오스트리아 출생이지만 유창한 영어를 사용하는 재즈보컬리스트입니다 뮤지션 집안에서 자라나서 8살에 피아노를 배우기 시작했고, 12살 때에 부터는 색소폰을 배우기 시작했으며 12살 때 부터 아버지의 밴드에서 노래를 불렀다고 하네요 17살때에 국내의 Music and Dramatic Arts 대학에서, 그녀를 항상 격려해주던 미국의 유명한 재즈보컬리스트이자 작곡가인 Sheila Jordan에게 가르침을 받았고, Mark Murphy, Jay Clayton, Michele Hendricks 등에게도 가르침을 받으며 그들과 함께 일하는 기회를 가지게 되었지요 대학에서 석사학위를 취득한 후, 어린나이에 “Euro Big Band” 와 함께 네덜란드 투어를 두 번씩이나 하였고, 그 후에도 여러 국제 재즈페스트벌에 참여하였습니다 미국의 거장들인 Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Jon Hendricks 등의 영향을 받은 그녀는 진정한 재즈싱어로 자리매김을 하였고 리듬을 아주 다양하게 사용하면서 자기자신만이 스캣스타일을 잘 표현하고 있지요
